Menstrual health remains a topic often surrounded by stigma, leaving many young women without proper knowledge about hygiene, nutrition, and overall well-being. Recognizing this gap, Swapnika Reha Foundation, in collaboration with the Women Empowerment Cell of GDC Siddipet, organized an awareness seminar and invited Dr. Karthik and Dr. Yashaswi from Karya Foundation to educate students on menstrual health and nutrition.
During the session, Dr. Karthik and Dr. Yashaswi emphasized the vital role of nutrition in menstrual health, explaining how a well-balanced diet can help manage heavy bleeding, cramps, and PCOS symptoms. Additionally, Dr. Yashaswi provided guidance on best practices for menstrual hygiene, ensuring students were equipped with essential knowledge to take better care of their health.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating, asking insightful questions, and breaking the silence surrounding menstrual health. The discussion encouraged awareness, open conversations, and informed decision-making, making a meaningful impact on the students' understanding of their well-being.
The event was a step toward fostering awareness, encouraging open conversations, and empowering young women with practical solutions. With the support of Dr. Sunitha (Principal, GDC Siddipet), faculty members, NCC students, and the Women Empowerment Cell team, the seminar successfully contributed to building confidence and informed decision-making among students.
